Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium is known as one of the best aquariums in the country and there are plenty of reasons why. The aquarium offers a look into the lives of some of the most amazing creatures on our planet. Of course at the aquarium you are able to take an up close look at many of the animals on our planet, but there are also many other things to do at the aquarium to keep you entertained for a full day!

At the aquarium you can Swim with the Fishes, where you will be able to be up close to 2,300 fish and see a replica of the coral reef in the Dry Tortugas near Key West. Some of the animals you will see include: moray eels, grouper, and a sea turtle.

Another great attraction at the aquarium is the Penguins!! The aquarium offers a 30 minute backstage pass to interact with the penguins up close. You will have the opportunity to touch a penguin, and see them in their environment, all while the biologist describes in detail about them.

One of the most famous attractions at the aquarium is the Wild Dolphin Ecotour. It is a 90 minute adventure through Tampa Bay on the aquariums 72 foot catamaran. On the tour you get to see several wonderful animals that inhabit Tampa Bay, including dolphins, manatees, and several types of birds.

Last but not least is Explore a Shore, a 2 acre outdoor water adventure zone for kids! Explore a Shore offers slides, sand castles, sea creature figures, a large shipwreck with lots of water fun! Don't worry parents, there is a bar and grill to sit back and relax at while the kids play!
