Kelly Recreation Complex
This beautiful multi-purpose recreation facility features eight lighted tennis courts, separate men’s and women’s fitness rooms, and a 12,000 square-foot gymnasium which easily houses two full sized basketball courts and two indoor volleyball courts. This indoor/outdoor facility affords the Parks & Recreation Department the opportunity to provide comprehensive recreation programming to suit the various needs and interests of the Lakeland community. Instructional classes, sports leagues, recreational play, fitness, and special event programming ensure constant happenings here. Registration at the Kelly Recreation Complex is required for all activities and classes. Due to limited enrollment, pre-registration and pre-payment is recommended and sometimes required for classes.
PERSONAL TRAINING OPTIONS: Individuals seeking personal training may consult the front desk for contact information. We do not have certified personal trainers on staff, however, we are knowledgeable about how to properly use our equipment. Please feel free to ask questions.
Fitness Rooms (Weight and Cardio Rooms are ages 15 & up)
The minimum age requirement is 15 years old. Participants 12-14 years of age may work out if accompanied by a parent or guardian, 18 years old and up. Anyone under the age of 12 cannot use the fitness rooms due to insurance requirements. All participants are encouraged to consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.
Co-Ed Cardio Room: Work out in our cardio room featuring Cardio Theatre and Precor & Track master machines such as cross trainers, upright & recumbent bikes, steppers, treadmills, rowers and more! The theatre consists of 6 televisions on different stations for your entertainment. Standard Walkman-type headphones, 3.5 mm stereo plug, are required for the audio. Designated play area provided for toddlers & infants.
Co-Ed Weight Room: Top quality Magnum weight machines, including leg extension, leg sled, cable-cross over, biceps, chest press, free-weight stations, and more.
Women’s Weight Room: Fitness room for Women Only features top quality weight machines. Various leg machines, chest press, shoulder press, roman chair, abdominal, inner & outer thigh and more combine to make the Women’s Fitness room. Designated play area provided for toddlers & infants. The Women’s fitness room is open as co-ed during the first & last hour of operation and from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm every day.
