Strawberry Festival
Each spring the Strawberry Festival opens its gates for people from all over to enjoy the entertainment, food, livestock, arts & much more. The Strawberry Festival is now recognized as one of the top 50 fairs in North America. The festival is located in Plant CIty, only a short drive to Lakeland or Tampa. Much of the allure of the festival is that it offers not only top-name entertainment but local artists. You can go to see a famous artist is concert and then watch the local marching band. Many people would say the best thing about the Strawberry Festival is the food, and there is plenty of it. You can't leave without trying the strawberry shortcake with of course home grown strawberries. In 2010 the Strawberry Festival celebrated its 75th year and I'm sure there will be many more to come.
